The widely acclaimed musical TV show which was sponsored by popular network provider MTN debuted in 2008 and ran for 8 seasons before the plug was pulled on the show in 2016.
The success of the show saw it gain a lot of fans all through the continent especially west Africa and when it stopped airing,questions began to rise if the popular show was ever going to make a return to our TV screens.
During the shows time away from airing,we have seen several shows debut and become a success e.g BIG BROTHER NAIJA,DETALENTSHOW and even Gulder ultimate Search returned after a lengthy time off which made fans begin to clamor for the return of project fame.
As at this time of this writing,the telecommunications company has not yet made any announcement whether we would see the return of project fame but to be honest: I think the show is as good as dead as there are already plans in place to host a new musical show quite similar to project fame by mtn called Y’ello Star and it has been announced that auditions will be held regionally in Abuja,Portharcourt and Lagos with the winners from the regional auditions proceeding to the main stage in Lagos State
